Via Crucis Procession Held in Takoma Park

If you're looking for Good Friday events, you don't have to look far.

will hold a traditional Via Crucis procession to St. Camillus Catholic Church in Silver Spring from noon to 4 p.m.

More than 2,000 people will walk three miles from Our Lady of Sorrows to St. Camillus in commemoration of Christ's walk to his crucifixion, according to a news release about the event.

A living Stations of the Cross will be re-enacted on a flatbed truck along the route and the events will be held in Spanish, English and French.

The route is as follows: north on New Hampshire Ave. to Wildwood Dr. to University Blvd. to 14th Ave., then across New Hampshire Ave. to Northampton Dr. to St. Camillus.
