Ptosis can be caused by weakness of the muscles that raise the eyelid, damage to the nerve that controls the muscle, or looseness of the skin of the upper eye. It can also be a result of injury or a disease.
Learn about current thinking on the diagnosis and treatment of droopy.sagging eyelids. Guest speaker Todd Goodglick, M.D., is on the American Board of Ophthalmology and is certified in Neuro-ophthalmology and Oculoplastics.
