Serves Awards Ceremony.

County Executive Ike Leggett will present the Roscoe R. Nix Distinguished Community Leadership Awards at the Montgomery Serves Awards on Monday, April 29 at Imagination Stage. This prestigious award honors individuals who, over the course of their distinguished lives of community service and leadership, have made extraordinary contributions to the quality of our community at the very highest levels of excellence.  The recipients are our community builders, the community change agents, and role models for future generations.

At the ceremony, the 2013 winners of the The Neal Potter Path of Achievement Award (individual 60+ years old who has given a lifetime of service) and the Montgomery Serves Awards (extraordinary volunteerism in the categories of Youth Achievement, Business, and Community Service by a resident and by a group) will also be honored and be presented with their awards.

Andrea Roane, weekday morning anchor for WUSA 9, will emcee the evening which is free and open to the public.  Seating is limited to those who register at www.montgomeryserves.org.  This ceremony is organized by the Montgomery County Volunteer Center with assistance from the Corporate Volunteer Council of Montgomery County. It is sponsored by the Fund for Montgomery.

An impressive level of accreditation and recognition. Good work. Standardization of diagnostic andRead More treatment protocols, with enough algorithms to provide for patient individualization at appropriate intervals is key. Those, and a professional team to implement the program completes the circle. Eugene Regen, Jr. M.D.

Can I bring my gun with my conceal carry permit to your event Mr Raskin? You are in my opinion, aRead More horrible public servant. I may just make it my new purpose in life to unseat you. I look forward to meeting you May 6th. Dont worry, I will be sure not to bring any weapons with me....just a smile and a hand shake is allI need from you.
