Grab & Go Kids Planner: March 3 through March 9

Bargains on kids' clothes and accessories, exposure to other cultures and quality time at the library are what's in store for the family this week.

It's Wednesday, and that means it's time to check out our Grab & Go Kids Planner to see what Takoma Park has to offer kids and families this week. As always, we'd love to hear from you if there are any local, family-friendly events that we missed. Let us know, and we'll be sure to keep an eye out for them in the future

We're almost at the end of winter — finally! — so there's still lots to do indoors. This week, Takoma Park Library hosts a variety of events parents and kids will enjoy. Your family will also enjoy some great events that aren't too far away, including a favorite semi-annual consignment sale.

Here's what's going on that you might want to check out:

• CIRCLE TIMES
Where/When:  is at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, and  is at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Both of these fun events are hosted at .
Why Go: Get the whole family involved in a community event, get exposed to another language and just plain have fun. You can go to either or both of these Circle Times.

• MONTGOMERY COUNTY PARENTS OF MULTIPLES SEMI-ANNUAL
Where/When: The bargains will be at Roberto Clemente Middle School in Germantown on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why Go: There's nothing better than finding clothes for the kids at a great price. You'll get to choose from a variety of kids' items without breaking the budget.

• MADAMA BUTTERFLY
Where/When:  on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
Why Go: Kids and parents can learn about opera and Japanese culture at this performance of . There will be plenty of interactive and exciting moments for all.

Where/When: Takoma Park D.C. Neighborhood Library hosts this event on Monday at 11:30 a.m.
Why Go: Preschoolers, ages 3 to 5, can watch their favorite books come to life.

Where/When: Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Takoma Park D.C. Neighborhood Library.
Why Go: Moms and dads of newborns, 0 t0 4 months, can find support and friends, and you can bring your baby with you.
