Cookie Recipe Contest Wants Your Confections!

Have a great cookie recipe? Enter the annual Dundalk Renaissance Corporation Holiday Cookie Contest!

It’s hard to believe – time again for the Dundalk Renaissance Corporation’s Holiday Cookie Recipe Contest! We thank everyone who entered great recipes last year and hope we will have many contributions of homemade holiday confections again this year.  As you may know, in the past we have had three cookie categories. This year we are spicing it up a bit with 8! You may enter your recipe in one or multiple categories, and you may also enter more than one recipe.  Bake up your best for the follow categories listed below:

  • Traditional (will award 1st, 2nd, 3rd prize)
  • Overall Best Cookie
  • Best Decorated
  • All Chocolate
  • Best No Bake
  • 5 Ingredients or Less
  • Best International
  • Best Gourmet

To Enter Recipe Contest

1) Contact Leah at 410.282.0261 or leah@dundalkusa.org as soon as possible to let me know what recipe(s) you intend to enter and your categories.  There is no limit for the number of recipes or categories you may enter.

2) Bake 4 dozen or more cookies for the Cookie Tour and judging, and deliver them to the DRC office at 11 Center Place, 1st floor, between now and Friday, November 30th (you can also arrange for us to pick up).

3) Email or drop off a copy of your recipe(s) by Monday, November 28th in order to have your recipe available to share with others on the DRC website and e-newsletter.

4.) Winning bakers will receive a gift card donated from Mars Supermarket and be recognized in the Dundalk Eagle and the Dundalk Patch.

Cookies will be judged on Saturday, December 1st, in addition to other festive family friendly activities at the Historic Dundalk Holiday Hoopla! The day opens with the Holiday Train Garden at the Dundalk-Patapsco Neck Historical Society and Museum at 12pm. Gather in the Historic Dundalk Village Shopping Center at 4pm for the Dundalk-Eastfield Recreation Council’s Christmas Parade. Immediately following the parade, visit Santa in the Park, and the DRC’s free family-friendly Center Place Street Fair, and then fill your tummy with our Holiday Cookie Tour until 7pm.

Want to bake but don’t feel the need to enter the contest this year? We’d love for you to contribute cookies to our event! We’re planning to distribute over 200 dozen homemade cookies to kids and families for free at the Cookie Tour, so please join our baking brigade.

We look forward to your participation this holiday season! Please feel free to contact Leah with any questions and more information at 410.282.0261 or leah@dundalkusa.org. Warm Holiday Wishes!

Now what would you expect from from the DRC. A real class act. When they stop dealing with people like you I'll stop writing about them. Like they seem to ignore certain ethics issues you violate the Terms of Use. Like I said a class organization and you are prof of it. I could have filled an ethics complaint over one of their members serving on the zoning board. It's not too late.

"I could have filled an ethics complaint over one of their members serving on the zoning board. It's not too late." Were you the little fat kid in school who got his jollies by squealing on the other students?

You must be one of the 70% born without a father. All you do is follow me around. Fat, you ain't even warmup weight.

With spell check you still can't seem to spell the simplest of words, like proof. You spelled it wrong twice! Ha-ha. Honestly, do you wonder why people laugh at you and your attempt at journalism?

Buzz, trust me, no one is following you around. How is your wife doing? Girlfriend, boyfriend ( I don't judge)?Hmmm....no one in the room, always so lonely. All you have is your crazy theories. Now that's sad!
