Revenue:

  • Combined revenue for all four parts of the city fund (the general fund, the storm water management fund, the special revenue fund and the speed camera fund):  $22, 915, 252
  • Revenue from the general fund: $19,417,988
  • Revenue from the three other parts of the city fund: $3,497, 264

Expenditures:

  • 55 percent of the budget is allocated for personnel

, Takoma Park Police arrested a 15-year-old boy Friday for robbing a metro rider getting off at the Takoma Station.

Around 5:20 p.m., Takoma Park Police responded to Walnut Avenue at Westmoreland Avenue for the report of a strong arm robbery that had just occurred, police said.

At the scene, it was revealed that the robbery occurred at the Takoma Park Metro Station as the victim was walking home. 

, American Legion Post 41 named Cpl. Michelle Holmes of the Takoma Park Police as officer of the year, police said.

Holmes came to Takoma Park from the Baltimore City Housing Police Department, where she spent 13 years as a police officer, police spokeswoman Catherine Plevy said.
