The Apple of My Pie: Takoma Park Judges Best Pies
The pie contest sated appetites across the market.
At the Takoma Park Farmers Market on Sept. 16, pies were the main event.
There were 23 pies entered, 161 slices served and over $500 collected for the
market's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Match Fund.
Judges were Mayor Bruce Williams, Rocco Casagrande of Takoma business
Gryphon Scientific, Council Member Kay Daniels-Cohen, Tebabu Assefa of
Blessed Coffee and Leigh Lambert of Naughty Bits Brownies.
