It's only the end of January and the has already done its good deed for the year.
The independently-owned spa raised $950 for Mary House, a Washington, D.C. housing non profit, and will be presenting the money Feb. 1 at 11:30 a.m. at the Still Point at 1 Columbia Ave.
In December, The Still Point hosted an all-day "The Still Point Gives Back Holiday Party" in which the spa offered 15 minute mini-treatments, such as massages and acupuncture, to the community. All donations received that day were given to Mary House.

The charity provides up to 50 families at a time with housing and support services to an additional hundred families each month. Mary House is run entirely on donations and grants, and during its 28-year history, has sheltered and cared for hundreds of families, according to the Mary House website.
