Pickles and Perennials Featured at This Week's Takoma Park Farmers Market

The Takoma Park Farmers Market in Old Towne Takoma Park has no dearth of interesting vendors every Sunday. And the market's Facebook page keep residents up to date on who is coming to the market and here are some hits for this week:

• Smith Meadows Farm will have mixed greens ravioli and mushroom ravioli, basil pesto, bolognese meat sauce, Neapolitan marinara, curry beef, sausage and spinach empanadas, chicken pot pie and crispy baked sausage and veggie rolls.

• Blue Ridge Botanicals will have perennial plants in 3.5" pots on SALE: 3 for $10 or $ 4 each.

• Twin Springs Fruit Farm will be have blackberries, freestone peaches including Redhaven and Early Loring, field tomatoes, including heirlooms, discounted Sugar Snack carrots in two pound bags, canary melons and blueberries.

• North Mountain Pastures will have sauscisson sec and fermented garlic dill pickles on Sunday.

• Musachio Produce Farm will have field peas, green tomatoes and tomatillos.
