Core72's Bright Store Front Kicks off the Spring Season

Washington, DC, native and Chevy Chase resident Ferrall Dietrich recently opened a women's active wear store just in time for spring.

Core72 opened its doors to customers during its first grand opening at 5502 Connecticut Ave. last month.

The chic active wear store is a boutique that “brings to Washington a range of distinctive active wear and lifestyle fashions sourced from a hand-picked group of manufacturers,” according to Core72’s press release.

“We want to work out in clothes that are designed for us and that will keep up with us—and that are not simply men's extra smalls in pink,” owner Ferrall Dietrich said.

The store’s bright décor and flowery scent provide an inviting ambiance for the spring season's fashions, which include respected brands in the outdoors industry like Anjali, Omgirl and Split59.

“Core72 is the result of my longtime dream to merge the energy and drive of these two worlds in a local, intimate, retail environment that caters exclusively to urban women and their active lifestyles,” Dietrich said.

The boutique hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dietrich plans to host community events and workshops for customers in the future.
