Capital City Cheesecake Applies for Beer and Wine License

Would you like a beer with that cheesecake?

Have you ever sat at your laptop enjoying a sandwich at Capital City Cheesecake and thought, 'I'd just love a beer right now'?

Well, your dreams might soon come true. The bakery/cafe has applied for a license to sell beer, said co-owner Meaghan Murphy, and plans to offer beer every day and wine for special events.

"We don't have a plan as to how we want to use it yet," Murphy said. "We do know with the outside seating during the summer it'll be nice to serve beer with the sandwiches."

Murphy hasn't heard any opposition to the application and took one required and one non-required course to help with the process. Capital City Cheesecake's liquor license hearing is May 5.
