Bites Nearby: Kensington Pizza & Kabob House

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Takoma Park Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's

-- There is something soothing about a place where you can purchase a six-pack and pound of kabob at the same time; with only 24 hours in a day, and most of us living busy lives, we can't be troubled with having to go to two different places for our meat and booze.

Enter Kensington Pizza & Kabob House.  Try and go in just for some beer--please do try--but know that you'll most likely leave carrying a heaping pile of beef, lamb and persian rice, as well.

The Kabob's are strategically placed to marinate in the front counter, where beer lovers pay for their libations. Hint: If one knows one is going home to enjoy a delicously balanced, wonderfully hopped, Dogfish Head 60-minute IPA, they will be hard pressed to stare at spice-soaked meat,  and think: "You know what, I'll just have some Honey Bunches of Oats tonight."
