Bites Nearby: Il Pizzico
You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in, but we've got a better idea. Each week, Takoma Park Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:
Il Pizzico-- Widely regarded as one of the best Italian restaurants in Montgomery County, Il Pizzico doesn't dissapoint: the wine list is extensive, the pastas are fresh, and the meats and fish succulent and well prepared.
The Antipasti are classic Italian: Prosciutto e Mozzarella, Insalata di Mare, Polpettini Sliders and Caprese, to name several. You can't go wrong with any of the above, and the other options are worth it as well.
One is immediately struck by the attention detail at Il Pizzico. Water is offered as soon as your cup is empty, bread and olive oil are prompt to arrive as soon as you are seated, and servers are attentive to specific requests.

Il Pizzico also features an impressive wine bar, with a bartender who is more artist than service provider, eager to suggest wines and offer tastings.
With a parking lot off to the side, driving isn't an issue. However, be sure to keep an eye out--the location is easy to drive past.
