Local Artist Shows at NoVa Community College

Artist gallery talk set for March 14.

Takoma Park artist Jenny Freestone will be showing "New Prints," an exhibition of etchings, photogravures and lithographs, in Waddell Gallery at the Loudoun Campus of Northern Virginia Community College until March 23.

Freestone begins her work with drawn studies or photographs and they form the basis for the print, according to a release about the show. She uses natural forms as well as architectural forms to inform the connection between human behavior and the natural world.

Freestone has exhibited widely nationally and internationally. Her work hangs in the collections at the Library of Congress, Corcoran Gallery of Art, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Smithsonian National Museum of American History and more.
