Ruthie & the Wranglers in Concert

Ruthie and the Wranglers opened for a sold-out audience when Ramblin' Jack Elliott appeared at IMT last May. Now the group, lead by Takoma Park resident Ruthie Logsdon, are headlining their own show.

Ruthie & the Wranglers play rockin' American Roots music (also known as FUN!) and are based in Takoma Park, MD. From original Americana Country to rousing Surf instrumentals, their clever lyrics, high energy and spritely hillbilly harmonies set them apart from the rest. Their songwriting skills were penned by Billboard Magazine as “...nothing short of brilliant.”

The band has just released their sixth CD, Ruthie and the Wranglers LIVE at Goose Creek, recorded live at the Franklin Park Arts Center in Purcellville, Virginia.

Greg has a passion for creating timeless lyrics with true musical spirit—his song "I Say Tomato" and "Lost Ball in the High Weeds" were both featured in independent films and "Babe Ruth's Piano" was named 2004 Song of the Year by WAMA. Lead guitarist and award winning multi-instrumentalist (elec. guitar, baritone guitar and steel guitar) Andy Rutherford, pianist/vocalist/key songwriter Bill Starks and drummer Robbie Magruder (Mary Chapin Carpenter/Lowen and Navarro) set the standard for quality musician-ship and high-powered “rock-ability."
