Silverdocs Turns 10
SILVER SPRING — 2012 AFI-Discovery Channel Silverdocs Festival, June 18-24, is celebrating its 10th year. The documentary film festival opens with “Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey,” which follows Filipino singer Arnel Pineda’s journey toward stardom. Keane Performs at Strathmore Tonight
NORTH BETHESDA — Touting their latest album “Strangeland,” British alterna-rockers Keane will perform at Strathmore at 8 p.m. tonight, Thursday, June 14.  Tickets cost $55-$75. Music Center at Strathmore, 5301 Tuckerman Lane. More information at Strathmore.org.

Reel Water Film Festival at BlackRock
GERMANTOWN — Reel Water Film Festival will screen more than 60 films about the global water crises. Proceeds will help provide clean water to communities in the Dominican Republic and the Philippines. Saturday, June 16. Record Fair: “The Father’s Day Edition”

Diamond Jubilee Celebration Continues … in Kensington
KENSINGTON — The British Players present, the 48th annual “Old Time Music Hall” in celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee. Cabaret-style shows continue through June 23. Kensington Town Hall, 3710 Mitchell St. Tickets cost $30. Show times and ticket info at BritishPlayers.org.

Mud & Merlot
ROCKVILLE —  Clay project worskhop using hand-building techniques, with the help of some creative juices — servings of merlot, white wine and soda. 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 18. Return in two weeks to pick up fired projects. VisArts at Rockville, 155 Gibbs St. Registration costs $60 and is available online.
