Silver Spring Blues Fest Preview
SILVER SPRING — Jonny Grave gets Blues Week brewing in Silver Spring. Grave performs 6 to 9 p.m. June 8 at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, the beginning of the build-up to the Silver Spring Blues Festival, Saturday, June 16. Downtown Silver Spring. ‘Deconstructing the Beatles: A Trip Through Strawberry Fields’
WASHINGTON — A multimedia presentation about the production and composition techniques behind four of the most well-loved songs by the Beatles. 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 10, Avalon Theatre, 5612 Connecticut Avenue, NW. BSO Takes on Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto

‘Sophisticated Ladies of Jazz’ Headline Takoma Park Jazz Fest
TAKOMA PARK —  Nicki Parrot and trumpeter Bria Skonberg are the headliners at the Takoma Park Jazz Fest 17, Sunday, June 12. Exhibit: ‘If Wishes Were Inches’
ROCKVILLE  —Devin Gong’s paintings combine floating, non-linear narratives, explosive color and spatially ambiguous compositions. Exhibit continues through July 1 at VisArts’s Gibbs Street Gallery. Navy Cruisers Concert
