If this holiday season has you feeling a little "bah, humbug," the Silver Spring Stage's hour-long performance of A Christmas Carol may do the trick.
The theater will present its version of the classic play based on the book by Charles Dickens two weekends only, Dec. 7-9 and Dec. 14-16. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m. There will also be a "pay what you can" preview of the play Thursday, Dec. 6.
Silver Spring's Ebeneezer Scrooge was adapted by Michael Hardwick, directed and co-produced by Pauline Griller-Mitchell and co-produced by Natalie McManus, who also narrates the play. Nick Sampson plays Scrooge, Brendan Murray is Bob Cratchit and two actors, Ian Murray and Camden Salgvero, alternate weekends as Tiny Tim.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Head to Silver Spring Stage's website to purchase. Silver Spring Stage is located at 10145 Colesville Road.
