The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Montgomery County that runs until 2 a.m. on June 11.
Heavy rain has already fallen in the region, the weather service says, with the possibility for more storms that could produce flooding rains.
Residents should expect extremely heavy rain that will flood low-lying areas and streets with slow drainage, says Montgomery Community Media. Do not cross flooded roads.
Flooded areas may be harder to identify at night, so drivers are urged to use caution.
The forecast calls for a 30 percent chance of more rain today and overnight. Then the possibility of thunderstorms increases to 60 percent Wednesday through Thursday night. Things will finally start to dry out on Saturday.
