Single-Tracking Trains Mean Red Line Delays

This weekend, single-tracking trains will mean delays on the Red Line.

Red Line riders are in for another fun weekend of single-tracking trains.

Between 10 p.m. on Friday, June 8, and closing on Sunday, June 10, Red Line trains will single-track between the Takoma and Forest Glen stations to allow for platform reconstruction and fiber optic cable installation, according to Metro's website.

Throughout the weekend, Red Line trains traveling between Shady Grove and Glenmont will operate every 20 minutes, and customers should add an extra 10 minutes of travel time to their trips.
