Silver Spring Nursery School will hold its Open House for the 2013/2014 school year on Wednesday, January 16 (2s, 3s and 4s classes in session), and Thursday, January 17 (2s and 4s classes in session). We encourage you to come on the day your child's prospective class is being held. There will be an informational session each day at 10:00 am, followed by a tour of the school. Reservations are NOT required. (In case of school delays/closures due to weather, please call SSNS at 301-434-2313 to check on the status of the Open House.)

SSNS is a cooperative, play-based nursery school for 2, 3, and 4 year olds, where teachers and parents work together to help children develop a healthy sense of identity and self-esteem. SSNS offers a developmentally-appropriate environment that is rich in possibilities for exploring, learning flexibility and problem solving, understanding differences, thinking creatively, making choices, and accepting responsibilities. SSNS is located at 10309 New Hampshire Avenue, 3 blocks north of the Beltway (about 8 minutes from downtown Silver Spring and 10 minutes from Takoma Park).

Applications will be accepted between the time of the Open House and Friday, February 1. Admission will be determined by lottery selection the following week. Applications received after February 1 will be placed on our waitlist.
