 event for the DC Metro area where top designers showcase their talents t
 o raise funds for Children&rsquo\;s National Medical Center. Situated on
  a one-half-acre site\, this year's home\, also known as the Blue House\
 , boasts 10\,000 square feet\, seven-bedrooms\, and seven baths. &nbsp\;

 Spring Valley house\, owned by the Francisco Aguirre Revocable Trust and
  the Gladys Aguirre Revocable Trust\, was built in 1956 by W.C. &amp\; A
 .N. Miller for Dr. Francisco and Gladys Aguirre\, who raised six childre
 n in the home. The late Dr. Aguirre was an international consultant as w
 ell as a founder of the Diairo Las Americas newspaper\, still run by the
  family in Miami. Mrs. Aguirre\, 90\, lives in Washington\, DC. Over the
  years\, the Aguirres entertained prominent Latin American political and
  business figures including heads of state from Nicaragua\, Argentina\, 
 Costa Rica\, Panama\, Bolivia and others in the 10\,000-square-foot\, se
 ven-bedroom\, seven-bath estate. The home became known as the Blue House
  for the family&rsquo\;s 40-plus year tradition of adorning the exterior
  in thousands of blue lights during the holiday season. Situated on a on

 n House\, a 501(c)3 nonprofit entity\, began in 2008 as a unique design 
 show house event for the DC Metro area in which top area designers showc
