Unclaimed $10K Powerball Ticket Sold in Germantown

The ticket was a third-tier winner in the $587.5 million Powerball drawing.

A Powerball ticket worth $10,000 was purchased at a convenience store in Germantown and has not yet been claimed, Maryland Lottery officials said Tuesday.

The ticket—the only third-tier winner in Montgomery County—was sold from the 7-Eleven at 19700 Frederick Road, according to a lottery spokesperson.

The ticket holder has 182 days from the drawing date to redeem the prize. The drawing was held Thursday.

While most Maryland Powerball players were hoping to win the $587.5 million jackpot last week, state lotto officials said 11 tickets sold in Maryland were second and third-tier prize winners—such as a woman from Edgewood who won $2 million.

Two other unclaimed third-tier winners were sold at a Baltimore 7-Eleven and  Stop 4 All in Ft. Washington.
