Two Takoma Park Houses Burglarized Friday

Both burglaries happened around the same time.

Two burglaries occured Friday in Takoma Park, both within close proximity of each other.

On May 25, at around 10:18 a.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 7500 block of Holly Avenue for reports of a residential burglary in progress, police said. When they arrived, police observed a window at the rear of the residence had the screen cut and the window was open. A witness saw three men at the window when she called police. It did not appear that property had been taken, according to police.

Around the same time, another home had been burglarized in the 200 block of Grant Avenue, police said.  Police saw the basement door open  and the rear screen window cut. Property was taken from that house, police said.

The investigation continues under case #12025259 (Holly Avenue) and #12025326 (Grant Avenue).  Anyone with information about the crimes should call 301.270.1100.
