Two Cars Burglarized in Takoma Park Over Holiday Weekend

One of the vehicle had a large amount of cash stolen.

 

Takoma Park Police are on the lookout for burglars in connection with two incidents of theft from an auto that were reported Tuesday.

On May 29 a victim came into the Takoma Park Police Department to report a theft from auto that occurred in the 6900 block of Laurel Avenue on May 26. The theft took place some time between 10:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., police said. Suspects entered the vehicle and took property, including a very large amount of cash, police said.

The same day, police responded to the 7400 block of New Hampshire Ave. around 8:21 a.m. for a report of a theft from auto that had occured between May 28 at 1:30 p.m. and May 29 at 8:21 p.m.

The suspects propped the victim's vehicle up on cinder blocks and stole the tires, police said.
