Third Man Arrested in Takoma Park Burglaries

The burglaries occurred in a small part of Ward 1.

 

After two arrests this week in connection with six burglaries in Takoma Park's Ward 1, Takoma Park Police arrested a third man Friday, Takoma Park Police Chief Ron Ricucci said.

Alexander Gorge Ellis, 19, of no fixed address,was arrested for first
degree burglary, theft over $1,000 and malicious destruction of
property, police said. Ellis was apprehended June 7 in the 100 block of Sandy Hill Drive in Ocean City.

This comes after Darlene Lucas, 46, of Washington, D.C., was arrested June 6 for first degree burglary, theft over $1,000 and malicious destruction of property and a 17-year-old male juvenile from Washington, D.C. and was booked for first degree burglary, attempted first degree burglary, destruction of property, possession of stolen property and making a false statement to police on the same day.
