Takoma Park Store Robbed at Gunpoint

Employee, customer cuffed by armed gunmen.

Two men, one brandishing a gun, robbed the Advance Auto Parts store on New Hampshire Avenue Sunday, Takoma Park Police said.

On Sept. 16, around 7:47 p.m., police responded to the store for a commercial armed robbery in progress. Two suspects entered the establishment and posed as customers. One of the suspects showed a handgun and ordered one of the victim’s to the manager’s office and restrained her with flexi-cuffs, police said.

Both suspects took currency from the registers and then ordered the manager to open the safe. The manager was then put into flexi-cuffs, as well, police said.

Both suspects fled out the back door on foot. No one was hurt.
