Takoma Park Police Hold Self Defense Course

The course is based on the Rape Aggression Defense system.

Takoma Park Police Department will host a basic self-defense course based on the Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) system in September and October.

The course is designed for women only and will teach techniques on how to escape an attacker.

The course is 12 hours and is a combination of classroom lecture and physical training. Each class will build on previous classes.

The course is free, and there is a limit of 12 students per session.

Classes will be held in the Azalea room of the Takoma Park Community Center and times will be 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
