With Takoma Park Police Chief Ron Ricucci retiring July 31, Drew Tracy has been chosen to become interim police chief.

A new chief for Takoma Park is expected to be chosen in late August or
early September.

Tracy has been involved in law enforcement for 29 years and was most recently an aisstant chief for the Montgomery County Police Department. He was also district commander of the Silver Spring District for four years.

"Drew and I worked together for many years. He is a true leader and teacher who will take the department through this transition period," Ricucci said. "His commitment to the community he serves is well known in Montgomery County. His leadership and experience will only be a plus for the department and the community.”
