Takoma Park is know for its environmentalism and that includes green commuting, like riding bikes to work.
Maryland was recently ranked Number 8 in the country in bicycle safety according to a statement issued last month by the League of American Bicyclists. The state is ranked third in the Northeast for bicycle safety.
