Panel to Discuss Economic Impact of Purple Line in Takoma Park

Make sure to be up bright and early.

Got nothing to do Friday at 7:30 a.m.? Well, Takoma Park is hosting a panel on how the Purple Line will economically impact the Takoma-Langley Crossroads.

At the Takoma Park auditorium, Montgomery County Councilwoman Valerie Irvin (D-Dist. 5) will host a number of experts to talk about what the Purple Line will mean for the city. 

Speakers include: Kate Bolinger, BBP & Associates LLC, Gerrit J. Knaap, PhD, National Center for Smart Growth Research and Education, on the economics of real estate development and light rail, Marsha Kaiser, Parsons Brinkerhoff/Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) and Francine Waters, Lerner Enterprise, White Flint Partnership and who was recently appointed to the Montgomery County Transit Task Force.
