Long Branch Sector Plan Community Meeting Preview

Montgomery County planners will hold a community meeting to discuss plans for the Long Branch Sector.

On Monday, June 25, join Montgomery County planners for a community meeting to learn about their ideas for safer connections for walkers and bikers, as well as plans to redevelop commercial areas.

Residents will have the opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions at this community meeting.

The Long Branch Sector Plan involves a creating a development that will include housing, retail locations, offices and areas for entertainment, as well as creating more green spaces and parks. In addition, planners are recommending streets with wider lanes, medians, trees and bike lanes.

The planners will discuss all their recommendations with the community from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rolling Terrace Elementary School, located at 705 Bayfield Street, Takoma Park, Md.
