If you're getting gas in Takoma Park, make sure to lock your car so your stuff doesn't get stolen.

The Sunoco gas station at 6367 New Hampshire Ave. saw ten cars broken into in 2011, according to Takoma Park Police statistics.

There were 131 thefts from autos in 2011 in Takoma Park, most of which were spread out over individual locations across the city.

There were 98 locations with one theft from an auto, mostly residential addresses. Five locations saw two thefts from autos and two locations had three thefts from autos occur.
