Crime in Takoma Park is down six percent from the same time last year, according to Takoma Park Crime Analyst Andrew Gucciardo.

Crime stats showed there were 171 crimes through April in 2011 and 160 through April in 2012.

Larcenies and robberies were the one categories up in 2012 from the same time in 2011.
