The premise that building casinos in Maryland would keep money from going to WV made sense 4 years ago. But now, we already have enough strategically placed casinos in MD to keep the money here, and two sites authorized by the previous law have not yet been built! People don't go to West Virginia just to gamble... they go there because of other recreational opportunities. The only thing that will stop Marylanders from spending money in other states is if you build a wall around the state to keep everyone in. This law was all about O'Malley's cronies. Let's see who makes major campaign contributions to his 2016 white house bid.

Interestingly enough, most of the red states are bastions for poorer education. look at the electoral map - it doesn't lie.

The two party system in the whole country is a sham. Both of them take money from the same place, claim to have a wide gap of disagreement, but ultimately only disagree on publicly divisive emotional issues. It keeps the little people fighting while they both steal from us in issues that matter. So honestly, even if we had more of a red presence in Maryland, it wouldn't matter. We'd all still be fighting over piddly crap while our representatives give away stuff we might care about to the their corporate buddies. We'd get a little more notice in presidential elections, but that's about it.

And yes, education is appalling in this country when it comes to politics and education. It's all run by Texas. It's where they print textbooks, and as a note, is the litmus for what other states get, because nobody's printing 50 different versions of a book. Also. . . no matter how good our education is, the big corporate media (and this this means Fox AND CNN) works to undo anything you'd have learned in school anyway, especially if it's right.

The only thing I saw in the national election (assuming you mean the president) was a lack of choices. The two big parties put up nearly the same person, and well, the third parties get ignored as usual. As for the senate race that started this discussion. . . Not really much better. The most prominent[0] third party candidate was even a douchebag. I couldn't win!

Eric you're getting warm with your "two party sham". By getting warm I mean you're on the right train of thought. There is no real choice when choosing between the democratic or republican parties. Both parties are bought and owned by the banking cartel and lose no sleep from selling out the people of the United States. In fact politicians from both parties gain financially from their tyranny. All that said I have a strong distrust of the entire political system. Voter fraud would be an easy tool to be utilized to ensure the new world orders agenda is not compromised. Case in point, California's Proposition 37. 53.1% of California's voters allegedly voted against labeling genetically altered foods. 53.1% voted to not be informed of what they are eating. I have lived in various parts of California for several decades, and can assure you Californians of all walks of life are very concerned about environmental issues and especially knowing if their foods are organic or genetically altered. Voter fraud? Do the math. If prop 37 would have passed consumers would be informed of their foods content either organic or genetically altered. I don't know about you but I will not knowingly purchase genetically altered foods. Monsanto, DuPont, BASF and other large corporations involved with genetically altering foods would stand to loose billions IF prop 37 passed in California. Lucky for the multibillion dollar chemical companies 51.3% of Californians allegedly voted down prop 37.

Yet in what counties is that wealth concentrated? Which Schools are the best? and how does that correlate to the vote totals Obama received in those areas? I await your informed analysis.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make Chris. All I am saying is that voter fraud would be very easy to invoke especially with electronic voting machines. I am by no means a supporter of either political party. When a politician is elected into office they are soon educated on how the system works and then must choose to be part of the system or stand for what they told their constituents they believe in. The latter is career suicide, so they choose politics as usual and sell out their constituents. These career politicians do what they are told with complete disregard to their constituents for their own personal financial gain.

WRONG! It's a combination of history, gerrymandering, the media perpetuating the lie of there actually being two different distinct parties, and the makeup of the issues the Left Hand of the Great and Powerful Oz being those that appeal to the emotions of the residents of MoCo, HoCo, Baltimore, PG County, etc. The issues the Right Hand of Oz screams about appeal more to the northwest part of the state, the Eastern shore, etc., where there's just less people.

In reality, most of those issues don't matter at the end of the day, and the ones that do. . . well, we're too busy paying attention to the puppets on the hands to realize there's two unified boots kicking the crap out of us.
