Baltimore 'Streaker:' an Idiot or a Hero?

At the Baltimore Ravens game on Sunday night, a man ran around on the field promoting a message.

The NBC cameras cut away before Mark Harvey could be seen running around on the field during Sunday night's Ravens game against the Patriots.

But that doesn't mean his antics weren't seen. Here they are recorded by fans, who cheered and jeered Harvey as he busted dance moves while avoiding security.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Harvey is 26 and from Severn. On Sunday, he ran around the field wearing a cape and tight-fitting short shorts. On his chest, he had painted "Don't be a bully, be a superhero."

The "official video" of the stunt had a biggerthanbullying.com watermark on it on YouTube.

Baltimore police removed Harvey from the field on Sunday, and officials said they would have more information later Monday on charges.

The Biggerthanbullying.com website is basic, with a few paragraphs of text and a link to the shop. In the text, someone identified as Harvey writes that people need to use their super powers "to make friends, stand-up for one another, and ultimately make 'bullying' just another word in the dictionary."

There's also a link to the website's online store where $20 T-shirts that read "Don't be a bully. Be a Super Hero" are sold, along with $5 bumper stickers and wrist bands.

Some websites have started calling Harvey "Baltimore Batman." It is unclear from the bullying website how T-shirt profits are used.

Harvey previously gained notoriety after he ran onto the field at Camden Yards during an Orioles game on April 9 and proceeded to run around the entire outfield, before being restrained by security, according to the Washington Post. For that incident, he was banned for life from Camden Yards.

What do you think is Harvey an idiot or a hero? Tell us in comments.

That "anti-bullying" website is highly dubious, with no mention of which organization the money from the store goes to. Smells like a scam to me. That being said, I was kind of fascinated watching that YouTube video....but I can't condone stuff like that.

It's funny because it was the least spiteful and controversial thing that happened at the game. Hell, it was great comedic relief and the directors shouldn't have cut away from it. They should have played the Benny Hill theme song instead.

Mr. Harvey, you have had your 15 minutes of fame. Now, you may wish to do as Ms. Fielder suggested and use your talents at your local animal shelter. Or, at a homeless shelter. At either you can see up close and personal, the victims of bullying and neglect.

What he did doesn't constitute "streaking". For those who didn't live through the 70s (or can't remember the 70s), streaking requires full nudity. I like the Kraken's comment that they should have played the Benny Hill theme song. I'm still LOL'g about that one!!!

Cause or no cause; this type of activity is inexcusible and uncalled for. Try
growing up and using your talents, whatever they may be for whatever you
choose to lobbby for!!!

I think they should have let him stay as one of the officials, with his enthusiasm he would have likely done a better job than them.

It's kinda ironic that he's supposedly spreading an 'anti-bullying' message, when he clearly bullied the field away from the game in order to get everybody's attention; just sayin'....
