Annapolis, Md. (July 5, 2012) – The Maryland Municipal League (MML), representing 157 Maryland municipal governments and two special taxing districts, has elected its 2012-13 Board of Directors and inducted ten members into its Hall of Fame. The ceremony took place as part of the 2012 MML Annual Convention held at the Ocean City Convention Center from June 24-27.

“This year’s convention theme, ‘Meeting the Challenge’ has truly set the stage for MML’s new leaders to make a difference in their community and, in turn, throughout the state,” said Judith F. “J” Davis, the newly installed MML President and Mayor of Greenbelt. “We are pleased to announce our 2012-13 Board of Directors and Hall of Fame members as we embark on our goal to meet the challenges set before us.”

The Maryland Municipal League's Hall of Fame honors current or former municipal officials (living or deceased) who have served 20 years or more as a municipal elected official. Honorees are nominated by other municipal officials. In addition to being recognized at the MML convention, their names will appear on a special plaque displayed at the MML office in Annapolis.
